Ellie Carter Artist Statement

My favourite thing about photography is the ability to tell a story through an image that can be interpreted in a million different ways by those who lay their eyes on it.  

A photograph will secure an emotional place in my heart based on the feeling I get when observing it.  This photograph presented is a double exposure meaning to showcase longing, daydreams, and connection. 

Maybe it’ll make you think of someone, maybe it’ll make you sad; but most importantly, hopefully it makes you feel.
